Dr. Carrier was born in 1944 in Kansas and then traveled all over the world as the son of an Air Force sergeant. He graduated college and veterinary school at the University of Missouri in the class of 1968. Care Animal Clinic was established in 1974 in Lakeland and has been at its present location since 1985. James Carrier has been practicing veterinary medicine in Lakeland for 31 years.
Dr. Carrier was born and raises in Lakeland, Florida. He attended Lakeland High School and graduated in 1992. He went to college on a baseball scholarship and graduated in 1997 with an undergraduate degree in International Business with a minor in Spanish, a focus in finance and concentration in marketing. He went to Louisiana State University School of Veterinary medicine where he met his wife Dr. Lesley Carrier and they both graduated in 2004.
